Compact Size

The Vitri-Glass is only 687 x 585 x 2260 mm (L x W x H) in size and light weight. Easily fitting into your workflow.

Continual Production

Keep the process going, you can add glass during the process to extend the amount of filament produced

Low Maintenance / Running Cost

with only 1 consumable part and low energy requirements this machine is inexpensive to run

Standard Power

Low power; high temperature. Operating on 220-240VAC, 10A (standard power outlet in many countries)

Filament Diameter

Variable speed = variable diameter. Pull filament from approximately 2 to 7mm in diameter*

High Temperature

Make all types of glass filament. We are even exploring borosilicate glass currently.

3D Print with The Maple 4

Create glass pieces autonomously using The Maple 4 from glass filament made on The Vitri-Glass.

1. What diameter filament can be produced?

A: Typically, between 2 and 7mm on our standard machine*

The optimised and usual output of the Vitri-Glass is 3.5mm standard diameter filament. Other diameter are achievable but this diameter is comprehensively produced and tested.

2. Is The Vitri-Glass easy to use?

A: Yes, once the first strand of filament is fed into the extruder it can autonomously produce filament for hours.

3. Is The Vitri-Glass safe?

A: Yes, compared to traditional methods of creating glass rods (aka "filament" or "cane") the system is very safe. Once setup the process is entirely automated meaning the user is hands off.

4.  What power requirements are required?

A: The Vitri-Glass runs off standard power; in Australia this is 220 - 240 V AC with 10A capacity. Alternate configurations may be available.

5. Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes, we have several units across the world. We arrange shipping, and configurations to suit local power.
